WIDO Project Portfolio and Strategic Partnerships

The Women Integrated Development Organization (WIDO) is dedicated to promoting sustainable livelihoods, financial inclusion, and community resilience through strategic partnerships and targeted interventions in underserved communities. Our collaborations with reputable development partners have yielded high-impact programs, improving the socio-economic conditions of thousands of beneficiaries, particularly women, youth, and last-mile actors.

Key Interventions and Outcomes:

  1. Financial Inclusion for Last Mile Actors (FILMA) Project* with Catholic Relief Services (CRS):
    Reached over 10,000 beneficiaries in the Bono Regions
    Engaged 360 Private Agricultural Service Providers
    (PASPs) and supported 97,200 Last Mile Actors (LMAs) through financial inclusion and livelihood interventions
    Facilitated the formation and strengthening of 1,080 Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), enhancing access to savings, credit, and financial literacy
  2. Rural Initiative for Sustainable Enterprises (RISE)* with Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC):
    Trained 3,853 participants, primarily youth and women, in agribusiness and enterprise development
    Supported the establishment and growth of 2,825 businesses, contributing to job creation, increased incomes, and sustainable rural enterprise development
    Linkage Programme* with Microfin Consult and sponsored by the World Bank:
    Linked 159 community groups to financial institutions, benefiting approximately 2,700 individuals
    Enhanced access to financial services, enabling beneficiaries to expand businesses and strengthen household economic resilience
  3. Afforestation and Land Restoration* with Ecocare Ghana:
    Supported the formation of 2 Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) with 60 participants
    Integrated environmental sustainability with economic empowerment, promoting climate-smart livelihoods and improved financial access

Through these partnerships, WIDO continues to drive inclusive development, equipping communities with the knowledge, tools, and resources required to achieve long-term socio-economic transformation. We remain committed to fostering resilience, promoting financial inclusion, and creating sustainable opportunities for vulnerable populations at the grassroots level.
